“When I was a fetus in my mother’s womb, she would drum on her tummy, because she wanted a son who was a drummer. My father would even place headphones over her pregnant belly and play Piano Concerto No. 2 by Johannes Brahms. I’m pretty sure that’s how my love affair with music, and specifically classical music, began. Since the moment I was able to grasp drumsticks, at around two years old, I have never put them down. I was born to a musical home- my father a pianist and my mother knowing more songs than Spotify. I began playing at age two, and it could be said that my fate was sealed as a musician. I didn’t know then which instrument I would go on to play because I was still little, but it wasn’t long before I found my destiny in the drums. I have always said and continue to say that I succeed in expressing myself with drums better than with spoken or written words. The fact that this book has even been published is a huge accomplishment for me.”
Eden explains: “Every time I close my eyes, I return to the event arena and cannot stop thinking that I could easily have been the one under the columns, covered in my blood instead of her. The fact that the Angel of Death passed over me at that event doesn’t mean he will do so again. I understand that I will never be the same person I was and that from that very moment, my life completely changed; the Eden of before and the Eden of after are two different people.”
